This Autumn we will be continue to participate in the Daily Kilometere.
What is the Daily Kilometre?
It takes place over just 15 minutes.
Children run outside in the fresh air – and the weather is a benefit, not a barrier.
There’s no set up, tidy up, or equipment required.
Children run in their uniforms so no kit or changing time is needed.
It’s social, non-competitive and fun.
It’s fully inclusive; every child succeeds, whatever their circumstances, age or ability.

It is important that you work with your child on their tasks but encourage them to be as independent as possible. Remember work can be presented in many ways e.g pictures, photos, simple words, sentences or charts. It does not need to be lengthy or immaculately presented!! Please do not do your child’s challenge for them or print out large pieces of text from the internet.
Read, Write inc.
We teach children to read and write using the “Read, Write inc.” phonic programme. Please ring the school office if you would like to come into class to observe a RWI lesson. The sessions start at 9.30pm Monday to Thursday.
