Welcome to Our School Council Page

Our School Council is represented by 12 pupils from Year 1 to Year 6. Pupils are elected onto the Council by ballot during the first half term of the new school year. The council meet every week on a Monday morning during assembly. The main aim of the school council is to listen to all the children in the school. If they have any worries, concerns, or ideas they can speak to their class representative. The School Council can then bring these along to the next Council meeting and discuss them with their fellow Councillors.

The School Council have recently created our School Cool Rules, held a competition to find our Rights Respecting Character for The Rights of the Child, created our new rules for our wild area, met with Mr Keith Towler Children’s Commissioner for Wales, and represented our school at various School Council meetings around Swansea.

We will keep you up to date with all the important work we do to help make our amazing school even better!

July 2015

We have had an enjoyable time being in the school council this year.We have done lots of things to help our school. Our favourite things have been making posters for red nose day and selling red noses,Getting new ideas from our class mates for our sports club and making a poster to advertise it .One of the most important jobs we have done as school council this year has been looking at our school reports and adding a pupil comments box at the end of every childs report.

As you can see we have had a wonderful year in the school council. If you are interested in helping our school, put yourself forward for the school council next year.

Thank you for your support. The school council of 2014-2015
