Today... we are thinking about the 'ellipsis'.

When might we use one? (Click the image to find out more!)

 

 

The purpose of ellipsis in writing is to show a pause, omission, or a trailing off effect in a sentence.

 

e.g. 

"We waited... then went home."

"Brian likes cake... he has some in the cupboard."

"John looked at the table and noticed his keys were missing..."
