We continue to work closely with our Education Welfare Officer to monitor attendance and punctuality. Although wholeβschool attendance has improved, we have recently seen an increase in children arriving late or being collected early.
While we understand that appointments are sometimes unavoidable, frequent lateness or early collections can affect learning and may raise concerns.
If we have concerns about your child’s attendance, we will request evidence of any appointments (such as hospital letters, digital confirmations or other proof).
Thank you for your support in helping your child make the most of their learning time. If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
Annwyl Rhieni a Gofalwyr,
A Big Well Done to Pry Cop! What a fantastic week it has been for our brilliant pupils in Pry Cop as they took charge of Bwyty Mish! They did an incredible job preparing and serving a delicious threeβcourse meal, and we are so proud of their hard work, teamwork and confidence. A huge thank you to all the parents and families who came along to support them — it means so much to the children.
We’re also delighted that the field has reopened this week. The pupils have absolutely loved having the extra space to play during their lunch break. Fingers crossed this lovely weather stays with us a little longer! βοΈ
Looking ahead, we’re excited for our annual Easter Eggstravaganza and Bonnet Parade next Friday. More details can be found on the school calendar.
If you’re able, we would really appreciate donations of cakes for our Siop Ceirios in the Pysgodyn yard. We’ll also be selling hot drinks, cans and Joe’s Ice Cream on the day.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support — it truly makes our school community special. π

Congratulations to Mrs Parry and the Eco Team who were interviewed for several hours on Tuesday about all the activities that
they do in the school relating to energy saving and sustainability. An amazing achievement. Da iawn pawb!!
Pods have now added Amazon Wish Lists to their blog updates. If you’re able to support your child’s Pod, please click the link in their update.
A huge thank you to those who have already purchased books from the school wish list — we are incredibly grateful for your generosity and support. ππ
Your kindness truly makes a real difference for our pupils — thank you! ππ

π Thank you to those who have already responded to our Instagram post about the upcoming Careers Fair.
We are looking for additional volunteers who may be available on Friday 8th May from 1:00pm to 3:00pm to help support the event. If you are able to attend and speak to the pupils about your career, we would love to hear from you.
This year we have been fostering positive behaviour through our whole-school approach: “Ready, Respectful, Safe.”
To support this, our pupils have helped to develop three new behaviour characters:
π¦ Barod Butterfly
π¦ Respectful Robin
πΈοΈ Mr Safety Web
For Easter Home Learning, we would like to give all pupils the opportunity to design and create an image for each of these characters – just like Mr Colourful all those years ago!
π Three winning designs (one for each character) will be announced in assembly on Friday 17th April.
π© All entries should be handed in to Mrs Chafey and must include your child’s name.
We can’t wait to see the creativity and imagination from our wonderful pupils!
We’re excited to announce that Sports Day will take place on 10th June! ππ½
It’s always one of the highlights of our school year, and we can’t wait for a fun-filled day of teamwork, races, and school spirit! ππͺ
More details coming very soon — stay tuned! ππ£

We wanted to share information about a brilliant local service that may help families during school holiday periods. The North Gower Food Hub offers up to 12 weeks of food support for households across most of the Gower. There’s no need for vouchers or social services referrals, and the team works with complete confidentiality.
Support is delivered directly to your home every Friday, or to school during term time if that’s easier for you.
If you feel your family could benefit from a little extra help, you can get in touch with the Food Hub here:
Schools can also make a referral on your behalf (with your permission).
A small reminder: this service covers most of the Gower, except Gorseinon, Gowerton, Killay, West Cross and Mumbles, as these areas have their own food banks.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out—support is there if you need it.
