Credit Union School Savings Club

At Llanrhidian Primary School, we are always exploring innovative ways to empower our pupils to achieve the four purposes of the Curriculum for Wales. We are passionate about nurturing enterprising, ambitious young people who are ready to play a full part in life and work.

As part of this commitment, we are delighted to launch our School Savings Club in partnership with our local Credit Union. ✨ This exciting initiative will encourage children to develop positive saving habits, whether they are working towards something special or simply learning the value of saving for the future. Our aim is to foster responsibility, independence and confidence in managing money from an early age.

What makes this initiative even more special is that it is led by our very own pupils! 🌟 By creating opportunities for children to learn from one another, we are not only promoting the importance of saving but also developing valuable numeracy, communication and financial literacy skills. Understanding the benefits of saving today can help lay the foundations for a secure and successful future.

We encourage families to support this fantastic initiative by talking with their children about the importance of saving and helping them to set personal goals. These conversations can inspire children to think about their aspirations and understand how regular saving can help them achieve them.
