Annwyl Parents and Carers,

Our new Y Goedwig is going from strength to strength, with every pupil from Nursery to Year 6 enjoying a wide range of outdoor activities. This year, we’re focusing on the three enablers of education—enabling adults, engaging experiences, and effective environments—to support every child’s learning. Our Instagram pages showcase how these priorities come to life through exciting workshops and outdoor learning adventures. To see what we’ve been up to, be sure to follow our two Instagram accounts: @journey_of_a_gower_school and our main account @llanrhidian_primary_school.

We’re excited to invite everyone to our Harvest Market on Thursday, October 16th! This special event celebrates the hard work and creativity of our pods, who will be selling their homemade goodies. The school gates will open at 1:30 PM, giving families a chance to browse and enjoy the market atmosphere. Our beloved Caffi Cynefin will be running all day, offering warm drinks and treats. We would be grateful for any delicious donations to help make this event extra special.  If you’re unable to attend, please let your Pod staff know in advance. Pupils will still get to experience the market earlier in the day with their teachers, ensuring everyone gets a taste of the fun!

Just a quick reminder that our Llanrhidian Primary Success Trust has a dedicated page with several ways to support our school, including the Easy Fundraising Platform. It’s a simple tool that lets you raise money for the school every time you shop online—at no extra cost to you! Whether you're buying everyday items or booking a holiday, using Easy Fundraising can make a big impact. It only takes a few minutes to set up, and every donation helps. Thank you for supporting our pupils! Also see this page for how to sign up for Lotto Abertawe, with chances to bring big prizes whilst supporting our school!

Pupil Question: What have you enjoyed about your first few weeks in school?

Pengwin: I like drawing, rainbows and unicorns. I like the sand and I like playing horses. I'm so excited!

Pysgodyn: I have enjoyed it when it has been sunny - and we have been on the field. It's better because we have lots of space. I have loved doing spelling games because it is testing our writing and making it better.

Pry Cop: Having Y Goedwig every Friday. I loved the den building because it was really fun! Our den worked so we did not get wet!

✨Mrs Gosney’s Corner: What we notice... ✨

Positive Noticing

You get more of the behaviour you notice most!

This isn’t a magic trick or a positive thinking self-delusion.

When you notice the good stuff and tell people about it, you change your child’s thinking. Catching your child doing the good stuff is more impactful than catching them doing the wrong thing. Practice switching your focus this week.
