What a busy week already! The pupils enjoyed a fun filled launch day for our new spring topic, 'Roots and Routes' where we’ll explore our local area and travel the world through maps, music, food, and stories. We’ll celebrate what makes each of us unique and what brings us together as one big global family. Staff will be completing EPIC (Everybody Planning In Class) with the pupils and will send out our Pod Planning Overviews next week. As ever, if you have any ideas that would help with the topic, please be in touch. 

Be sure to keep an eye on the school calendar for all of our exciting spring events such as St. David's Day, Spring Parents Evening and our Easter Eggstravanganza! More information about these events will be sent out soon.  

Consultation for the Extension of Nursery Sessions

Llanrhidian Primary School plans to extend morning nursery sessions by 60 minutes starting Tuesday, 1st September 2026. New timings will be 8:50am – 12:45pm. This change aims to provide more structured activities and social opportunities, including lunch with peers.
A consultation meeting for parents/carers will be held on Wednesday, 14th January 2026 at 3:30pm at the school. Minutes will be recorded by the Clerk to Governors.

📸 School Photography Day – February 2nd 2026

We’re excited to let you know that Roz and Kirsty will be visiting Llanrhidian Primary School on Monday, February 2nd to take individual photographs of all pupils.

✅ Please ensure your child comes to school looking smart and ready for their photo. This is a wonderful opportunity to capture a special memory of their time at school!

Bookings for EBCC and Clwb Ceirios are now live on iPay, and we kindly ask that all places are booked and paid for this week to secure your child’s spot for the full half-term. ✅

If you’re paying with childcare vouchers, please complete the booking form (available on our website 👉 Book Here) and email the office with your reference number, amount paid, and date of payment. 💳

We’re also accepting toast donations 🍞 – cash can be sent to the office or paid via iPay 💻. Every child enjoys a slice of toast during our daily Relax and Refuel session, helping keep energy levels steady and supporting concentration throughout the day.

🌟 Be Part of Our Journey! 🌟

We will be joined by Charlotte Clarke from Navigate Education on 19^th January at X5 pm online. Parents and carers will be able to join the session by joining this link: Join Here

Charlotte has worked closely with our school to help us start our journey of adapting our approach to behaviour over the past term. She also works with many other schools in Swansea and across the UK and is helping us become a more inclusive and safe place for everyone to work and learn in. 

In this session, Charlotte will share the benefits that being an emotionally safe school can bring to all learners. She will tackle the changes we are making to our use of consequences  and provide clarity around how we hold boundaries without compromising belonging.  She will explain how we are developing a consistent language of "Ready, Respectful, Safe" across the school.  

You are welcome to bring questions and feedback to the session which will be interactive and confidential for parents.
