This week we will be travelling to China and will learn about the Chinese New Year. Mrs Marchant was born in the year of the Tiger. I wonder what animal you Pili Pala's  share a birth year with?       

In the Chinese lunar calendar we will be celebrating the year of the Horse. Mrs Parry has had a brilliant idea to make a horse model using recycled materials. You are going to have to be Ready and Safe for this activity as it involves bashing nails with a hammer! Do you think you will be able to do this safely?

Mrs Mabbett has read that giving oranges during Chinese New Year symbolises wealth, good fortune, and prosperity. Oranges are very lucky in this culture.
