Suffix

LO: To use knowledge of letter sounds and patterns accurately in my spelling, including root words, e.g., light, geo, appear, suffixes, e.g. -able, -cious/tious, -ful, plural forms correctly in context, e.g. -s, -es, -ies.

A suffix is a group of letters that we add to the end of a word to change its meaning or how it is used.
