🔢  Number Explorers!

How many ways can we see a number?

This week, Pysgodyn will be exploring numbers using objects, pictures and Base 10. We’ll look closely at how numbers are built and use what we notice to count, represent and explain our thinking.

🔎 Session 1 – Count & Explore

Year 2 LO: I can count objects to 100 and read and write numbers in numerals and words.

We’ll count collections in different ways, read and write numbers and use number tracks and representations to solve problems.

Year 3 LO: I can count in hundreds, read, write and represent numbers.

We’ll explore groups of 100, count forwards in hundreds and use different representations to recognise and build numbers.

🧱 Session 2 – Represent It!

Year 2 & Year 3 LO: I can understand that the value of a number can be determined by the position of the digits.

We’ll use Base 10 to build and draw numbers, identify hundreds, tens and ones, spot mistakes and find different ways to represent the same number.

Can you build it, see it, explain it and prove it?
