This week we are strengthening our understanding of place value.

Lo: To recognise the value of each digit in a 2-digit number.

We will use practical equipment and place value charts to build, say, write and represent numbers.

Apply:

LO: To use place value knowledge to read, write and represent numbers.

We will apply what we know about tens and ones to solve place value problems and explain our thinking.

Challenge: Some learners will apply their secure place-value understanding to number lines.
