Did you know that hedgehogs sometimes hide underneath piles of leaves and logs to keep warm and safe?

LO: To write for different audiences and purposes, including writing for a range of real-life and authentic purposes.
Hedgehogs sometimes mistake piles of wood and leaves for a safe place to sleep. But what happens if someone builds a bonfire without checking for animals?
Use your illustration from yesterday to create a persuasive poster. Give your poster a catchy title, include an important message and explain why grown-ups should check bonfire materials before lighting them.
Make your poster so convincing that everyone will remember to help protect hedgehogs!

LO: To use different sentence types e.g., simple and compound sentences.
Andy wants to build an exciting den outside, surrounded by trees, birds and fresh air.

Kip thinks an indoor den would be much better because it would be warm, cosy and dry!
