We continue to work closely with our Education Welfare Officer to monitor attendance and punctuality. Although whole‑school attendance has improved, we have recently seen an increase in children arriving late or being collected early.
While we understand that appointments are sometimes unavoidable, frequent lateness or early collections can affect learning and may raise concerns.
If we have concerns about your child’s attendance, we will request evidence of any appointments (such as hospital letters, digital confirmations or other proof).
Thank you for your support in helping your child make the most of their learning time. If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
Annwyl Rhieni a Gofalwyr,
Spring is definitely starting to make itself known, the lighter mornings and evenings are such a welcome change, and we’re all hoping the drier weather won’t be far behind. We’re really looking forward to the field drying out so we can enjoy getting outside during our breaks again. There’s nothing quite like seeing the children making the most of the fresh air and open space!
Last Friday’s Twmpath and Marchnad were a real highlight, and we want to say a huge thank you to all the families who came along to support us. It was a fantastic turnout, full of smiles, dancing, community spirit, and wonderful stalls. Your support helped us raise valuable POD funds, and we’re incredibly grateful.
As you know, Mrs Archard is now on maternity leave, which has created a temporary gap in our leadership team. We are pleased to share with you the agreed leadership structure for Summer 2026.
Mrs Caswell will be returning as full‑time Head Teacher. Mrs Marchant will be stepping up as Acting Deputy Head Teacher, and Mr Morgan will take on a newly created role as Assistant Head Teacher.
This structure will strengthen our leadership capacity during Mrs Archard’s leave. I would also like to add that the leadership skills demonstrated by all our staff are both recognised and deeply appreciated. Our pupils are incredibly fortunate to continue to be supported by such a strong and dedicated team.
Our Pry Cop pupils are very excited to welcome their families to our Bŵty Mish Mash event next week 🎉.
They will have their aprons on, ingredients ready, and big smiles as they prepare and serve a three‑course meal they have been working hard to perfect 👨🍳👩🍳🥗🍝🍰.
We hope you enjoy this special experience — they can’t wait to show you what they’ve been learning! 🌟
We also have some very special news to share…
We are delighted to welcome beautiful baby Rosie to the Llanrhidian family. Team Llanrhidian are proud as punch to have such a gorgeous new little member. We send all our love and congratulations to the Archard family during this joyful time.
Thank you again for your continued support and for helping make our school community so vibrant and warm. Here’s to brighter days, blooming hedgerows, and more shared celebrations ahead! 🌷✨

We wanted to share information about a brilliant local service that may help families during school holiday periods. The North Gower Food Hub offers up to 12 weeks of food support for households across most of the Gower. There’s no need for vouchers or social services referrals, and the team works with complete confidentiality.
Support is delivered directly to your home every Friday, or to school during term time if that’s easier for you.
If you feel your family could benefit from a little extra help, you can get in touch with the Food Hub here:
Schools can also make a referral on your behalf (with your permission).
A small reminder: this service covers most of the Gower, except Gorseinon, Gowerton, Killay, West Cross and Mumbles, as these areas have their own food banks.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out—support is there if you need it.
