Annwyl Rhieni a Gofalwyr,
The term is flying by and we are really getting stuck into our learning, the school is a real buzz of activity. Well done to all the pupils who have represented the school in football and rugby this week; we are very proud of you. A big thank you as well to the pupils who helped us host an after‑school event for new teachers last night. Our visitors commented on how polite, confident and professional our children were, and they were a real credit to the school.
We are delighted to invite all parents to our Summer Showcase on 13th June from 2.00pm, celebrating the pupils’ work and bringing our exciting topic, “Mr Colourful: International Man of Mystery,” to a close. This will be a wonderful opportunity for pupils to share their learning from across the term, and parents are warmly welcome to look around all of the pods across the school if they wish.
We are also excited to share that, from September, staff will be refining our approach to cross‑curricular learning by introducing Amser Sgwn i (“I Wonder Time”), replacing Choice and Challenge and IQ. This streamlined approach brings together our most effective practice, enabling pupils to explore their enquiries in greater depth while developing independence through choosing and challenging themselves.

Led by Luke from CAMHS, this workshop will share practical strategies to support children’s emotional wellbeing.

What do you enjoy about our end-of-day quizzes?
Pengwin: I like being the quiz master and asking the questions. I don't like it when I lose.
Pysgodyn: I like learning lots of facts. I am in the Chichen-Itza team, and we haven't won yet.
Pry Cop: I like the table points. I like the questions as some of them can be quite hard but some I do know, like 'What city in the UK has the tallest tower?'
