Annwyl Parents and Carers,
This week marked our very first Pod Pupil Voice sessions, where pupils were invited to share their thoughts on our school development targets. Their ideas around being Ready, Respectful and Safe were inspiring, and it’s been wonderful to hear how they’ve noticed the positive impact of changes to the school environment—especially in supporting their independence. What a fantastic start to our development journey! Their views really are so important to us. Pupils from year 2 to year 6 have also signed up to their pupil voice groups which will help us gain a further insight into life as a pupil at Llanrhidian.
Through our current topic, 'Unplugged', we’ve also been exploring the benefits of stepping away from screens. Pupils have been reflecting on how this shift improves their mood and opens up new opportunities for creativity and connection. With the beautiful weather (before the storm rolls in!), it’s been the perfect time to embrace outdoor learning in Y Goedwig and play on the field.
Save the Date!
We’re thrilled to invite you to our Pod Pry Cop Percussion Party—a lively showcase of the pupils’ drumming skills! Join us in the marquee on Friday, October 24th at 2:30pm for an energetic afternoon of rhythm and fun. Be ready to clap along and maybe even join in!
Pengwin: We would like horses, chickens, a unicorn and a rocking horse!
Pysgodyn: This is the best school in the world, but I do think we should put stars on the windows!
Pry Cop: I think that we should do more netball in P.E. because we need to improve our catching and passing skills!
Great news! You can now support Llanrhidian Primary School through Easy Fundraising in-store.
Just link your card and shop at participating retailers – they’ll donate to our school at no extra cost to you.
Your everyday shopping can help fund exciting opportunities for our pupils. Thank you for your support!
At Llanrhidian Primary School, we believe that every school day is a building block in your child’s learning journey. Whether it’s exploring new ideas in the classroom, building friendships on the playground, or taking part in exciting projects like our community café or outdoor learning in Y Goedwig, being present matters.
