Thank you for working with us to give every child the best start! ๐Ÿ’™

    Annwyl Rhieni a Gofalwyr,

Jack Frost has certainly paid us a visit, and the chill in the air is a sure sign that winter is on its way! ๐ŸงŠ As the weather turns colder, we want to make sure every child can continue enjoying our fantastic outdoor spaces in comfort and safety.

๐Ÿงฅ Please ensure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the season. This includes:
    โœ… A warm coat ๐Ÿงฃ
    โœ… Suitable footwear ๐Ÿ‘ข
โœ… A change of shoes for their ‘Y Goedwig’ (Forest School) day ๐ŸŒฒ

๐Ÿ“Œ You’ll find more details about these days in the Pod Update section below.

๐ŸŒฟ Outdoor learning is such an important part of our school life, and with the right clothing, pupils can keep exploring and thriving—even when the frost sparkles on the grass! โœจ

๐ŸŽ„ We’re thrilled to share all the festive fun we have planned for the coming weeks. From seasonal celebrations to special performances, there’s plenty to look forward to! ๐ŸŽถ

๐ŸŒŸ A Message on Kindness and Understanding ๐ŸŒŸ

At Llanrhidian Primary, we celebrate every child for who they are. Each pupil brings unique experiences, strengths, and talents that enrich our school community.

As adults, we have the wonderful opportunity to set a positive tone. Our words can inspire and uplift. When we speak kindly and focus on encouragement, we create a space where every child feels safe, respected, and valued.

Let’s choose empathy and understanding. If a child is finding something difficult, remember: behaviour often tells a story. With patience and compassion, we can help them feel supported and confident.

Together, we can model kindness and build a school family where every child thrives. Thank you for helping us make Llanrhidian Primary a place where care and respect shine every day. ๐Ÿ’š

๐ŸซFood Support Available for Families in Gower ๐Ÿ’ธ

We’d like to share information from the North Gower Food Hub, which supports families across most of the Gower area. Many families, especially those with children receiving free school meals, can face financial challenges during winter and over the Christmas period.

The Food Hub can provide food support for up to 12 weeks. No voucher or referral from social services is required. Please note this service covers most of Gower, except Gorseinon, Gowerton, Killay, West Cross, and Mumbles (these areas have their own food banks).

They also refer families to the Sharing Table Christmas Hamper Scheme (cut-off date: end of November):
    https://www.sharingtablecymru.co.uk/

    How it works:

    • Weekly deliveries to your home every Friday, or to school during term time if preferred.
    • Strict confidentiality is maintained.
    • This is not a drop-in service.
