Our topic this term is ............

                                               Unplugged

From our launch day and EPIC planning the Pengwin children would like to learn about musical instruments, robot inventions and how people lived long ago without toasters and kettles.

Cynefin: Cynefin is a Welsh word that cannot be directly translated into English but means a place of multiple belongings.  To ensure our pupils develop Cynefin we will be celebrating our locality by looking at the marsh and thinking about what prehistoric animals lived there.  Wales is a 'Nation of Song' and we will be looking at traditional unplugged instruments and making our own versions to play.

Rip-Roaring Reads: We believe that developing a love of literature is the first step to becoming a competent reader.  Here are a few of the books we will be enjoying with our pupils: The most magnificent thing by Ashley Spiers, We went to find a Woolly Mammoth by Catherine Cawthorne, How to wash a  Woolly mammoth by Michelle Robinson and Cave Baby by Julia Donaldson.
