At the top of a twisty, muddy path stands a big, old house. Its windows are cracked, and the door creaks when the wind blows. The garden is full of weeds and strange shadows that move when no one’s looking.

Inside, the house is dark and dusty. The floorboards squeak with every step, and cobwebs hang from the ceiling like spooky curtains. The pictures on the walls show people with serious faces—and their eyes seem to follow you!

Sometimes, you can hear whispers in the hallway, even when no one is there. The stairs lead to a basement that’s cold and damp. Some say they’ve heard scratching noises down there… but no one knows what’s making them.
