Mrs Blackmore has always dreamed of dancing through the vibrant streets of Brazil during the famous carnival parade! But every carnival needs a spectacular mask… Can we help her design one that’s full of colour?

 When Mrs Parry came into school this morning, she found something surprising on her chair... A tiny, muddy handprint and a little leaf! 🍃🐵 It was from Rang‑Tan — the orangutan from the story!
He told Mrs Parry that the trees in his forest have been cut down, and he doesn’t know where to live anymore. Mrs Parry wants to help him...but she can’t do it alone.  Can we make a poster to show everyone how to save the trees and help animals?

Pop! Crackle! It’s National Popcorn Day! Join us down Y Goedwig as we help Mrs Parry cook popcorn over the fire!

Oh, how wonderful it is to be a Pengwin! It’s National Penguin Day! What do you love most about being a penguin?

LO: to identify halves and quarters of shaded objects and in practical situations. #LlanNum Mrs Chafey and Mrs Rees have travelled all the way to Brazil and they’re hungry!
They’ve found a table piled high with delicious Brazilian foods
But there’s one problem...
They want to share the food fairly, and they need your help to figure out what half means!

Miss Blackmore is a huge fan of the Rio carnival and would love to craete her own Samba parade around the school.  We will call it the  Llanrhidian Carnival. 

 

 

LO:To observe and describe ways in which materials change when heated and cooled. LlanSci. Mrs Mabbet loves to cook and has been lookingh for some brazillian recipes that we can cook. She has found a recipe for Pão de Queijo. I am looking forward to tasting the lovely treats that you are going to make. What happens to the cheese that you add to the dough mix?
