    🏺 Ancient Egypt Wonders

    • The Pyramids of Giza are over 4,500 years old and are one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing today.

    • The Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the world for nearly 4,000 years!

    • The mysterious Sphinx has the body of a lion and the head of a human.

     

    🌍 Location & Geography

    • Egypt is in North Africa.

    • The River Nile, the longest river in the world, runs through Egypt and was the centre of ancient life.

    • Most of Egypt is desert, including part of the Sahara Desert, one of the hottest places on Earth.

    • The capital city is Cairo, one of the largest cities in Africa.

     

    👑 Pharaohs & Society

    • Ancient Egypt was ruled by kings called pharaohs, who were seen as both leaders and gods.

    • One famous pharaoh is Tutankhamun (King Tut), whose tomb was discovered almost intact in 1922.

    • Egypt even had a female pharaoh, called Hatshepsut, who ruled successfully for many years.
       

    🐫 Daily Life & Culture

    • Ancient Egyptians invented papyrus, an early form of paper made from reeds.

    • They loved wearing make-up, including eyeliner made from natural minerals.

    • Cats were treated as sacred animals—hurting a cat was a serious crime!
