    Emotive Language

When we write, we don’t just tell the reader how someone feels,  we show it using powerful description so the reader can imagine it for themselves.

    👉 “I was scared.”

    That’s called telling.

    But if I say:
👉 “My hands trembled and my heart pounded as I heard footsteps outside the door.”

That is showing -  it helps the reader feel the fear.
