Our classroom has turned into a spooky world of bubbling potions, mysterious discoveries and creative challenges! Are you ready to become a spooky scientist, inventor, artist and explorer?
๐งช Fizz, Bubble, Pop!
LO: To identify that in a chemical reaction, a new material(s) can be made when adding two materials together e.g. vinegar and baking soda.
The witches have run out of magic potions! Can you mix our mysterious ingredients to create a bubbling, fizzing potion? What will happen when you add the vinegar?

-----------------------------------------------------โ๏ธ Make It Move!
LO: To explore how different component parts work together while exploring existing projects.
Oh no! Our spooky characters are stuck! Can you use split pins to give them moving arms, legs or wings? How many different movements can you create?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
๐ The Standing Pumpkin Challenge!
LO: To use basic prototyping techniques to improve outcomes.
Can you create a spooky pumpkin using just two slots? No glue to hold it together! Choose your favourite patterned or colourful design paper and layer it onto your pumpkin to make it unique. Will your pumpkin stand on its own?

๐ฆ Spooky Picture Secrets!
LO: To know that light travels in straight lines.
Something mysterious is hiding behind the white paper! Can you use your torch to reveal the spooky picture underneath? What happens when you shine your torch through the paper? Can you see the hidden surprise?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
๐ Help! The Skeleton Is Stranded!
LO: To explore and describe the properties of materials and justify their uses.
Our skeleton needs to cross a spooky gap, but there's no bridge! Can you use colourful plastic straws to build a safe crossing? Will your bridge be strong enough to hold the skeleton? Test your design and see how you could make it stronger!

-----------------------------------------------------๐ฆ The Mystery of The Missing Bird Seed!
LO: To recognise patterns from my observation and investigations and can communicate my findings.
Remember those cheeky crows trying to eat our crops? We left bird seed nearby to encourage them to eat somewhere else! Let's become wildlife detectives and check our bird-seed stations throughout the week. Has any seed disappeared? Can you spot clues that birds have visited? What changes do you notice over time?
