What a blustery and grey week! And the road works have been rather a challenge. A huge thank you to all those parents who are supportive and "upbeat" when they see us under pressure. As the head I am so grateful for the community that always comes together when things are difficult. Big thanks to the staff too who go above and beyond their roles to keep our pupils safe and learning.
Welsh Government visited our Caffi this week and were impressed with our pupils skills' and dedication to their work. Thank you to the parents and community members who turned up to support too. We are so very proud of our "World of Work" and as we say in Llanrhidian "Education is so serious, it has to be fun!"
The new Spring 2 booking forms are now out for Early Bird Club and Clwb Cierios. Thanks to those who have already booked and paid. Click here for the links.
Easter will be here before we know it and we will be running our traditional Easter raffle. Please could you support his with a small easter egg, item, wine or gift for the hampers. We will hold a special raffle draw on the last day of term.
With more and more budget cuts to education, we will be facing an even harder year from April. We are reaching out to local businesses for sponsorship support. This month a local firm sponsored us a new sports kit - thank you so much! We also need support to pay for the marquee, more kits, resources for outdoor learning, replacement of broken giant polydron; and lots more. If you know a local business who might be able to support us, please put them in touch.
Here are the headlines this term.
Parent Evening 26th and 27th February - You should have received a link to book your time slot. This will be an opportunity for you to speak to a member of the pod staff about your child's progress. If not you can send your child in with up to £2 to spend. Each pod will be having their own stall and each pod will be letting you know how you can help. We will update you with more information nearer the time.
