Terms of Reference
To review and monitor the curriculum for learning policy and any other relevant policy as appropriate and make recommendations to the full governing body for discussion and ratification;
In collaboration with members of staff, to provide information about how the curriculum is taught, evaluated and resourced;
To assist in the development of, monitor and review of the school self-evaluation report and to help identify areas for the school development / improvement plan;
To assist in the development of, monitor and review of the school development / improvement plan;
To monitor and review pupil and school performance and achievement;
To ensure that suitable strategies are in place to address underperformance and monitor the impact of the strategies;
To report according to statutory requirements on school performance;
To report to the Finance Committee on the relative funding priorities necessary to deliver the curriculum;
To oversee the arrangements for educational visits;
To prepare the school prospectus;
To receive reports from individual governors or staff responsible for specific areas, where appropriate
To seek professional advice from the Local Authority
