Dyma Targedau 2024-25
Initial meeting to set targets. What do we want to see and hear throughout the school?
- To hear and use more Welsh outside of the classroom.
- To lead a weekly Welsh assembly.
- To make sure that Welsh is seen on all displays around the school.
Tymor y Gwanwyn 2025
- Slot Drillio sessions are done in all pods on a daily basis and we all enjoy these as they are fun and are usually games.
- We are happy to be bilingual and think it is important. We have 'Duolingo' on our iPads and sometimes use it.
- We think that we are doing more reading and are being challenged as we have a red Chilli Comic that we need to read and it is hard.
Action plan.
- Welsh had some songs in Christmas concert but next year we want at least two in each concert.
- We need to have More Welsh in the canteen but we need to use it more at the counter with Mrs Webb and Mrs Veck.
- Audit of Welsh Displays - Pod Pry Cop the majority of displays had Welsh.
- Pod Pysgodyn -There are a few boards with Welsh upon.
- Pod Pengwin - More Welsh in the Fun fair role play area.

Tymor Hydref meeting 2024
We have relaunched our assembly calling it Pwy Ydy Pwy where we have to ask teachers questions linked to 3 guess who clues. We like the randomiser that is used to choose pupils. It is really fun as the whole school and teachers are together in the hall talking Welsh.
We are then encoraged to ask questions to all school staff throughout the week and we want this to increase the amount of Welsh we hear in the school.
Action plan
To launch the assembly and hold it every Friday afternoon so that we can celebrate Welsh.
To make sure all pods know the Welsh national anthem.
To discuss Slot drillio and when it is done in our pods.
Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant.
Croeso i Dydd Gwyl Dewi Sant 2025 at Llanrhidian Primary school. We have lots of celebrations this week and are looking forward to crowning our Coron Cymraeg on Dydd Gwener.
