Dear Parents and Carers,
What a wonderful week it has been at school! The children have enjoyed a wide range of exciting learning experiences and opportunities to develop their confidence, curiosity and teamwork.
Our Pry Cop children had a fantastic visit to Theatr Na Nog, where they took part in an engaging World War II experience. Through drama and storytelling, the children learned about life during the war, including evacuation, rationing and the experiences of children living through this important period in history. The visit brought their learning to life and provided a memorable and immersive experience.
Back at school, there was great excitement in Y Goedwig this week when the children discovered a mysterious safari tent! Equipped with their binoculars, they have become woodland detectives as they investigate the mystery of who stole Wil Wiwer's nuts. The children's enthusiasm, imagination and observation skills have been wonderful to see as they search for clues and develop their own theories.
The Pry Cop children also represented the school brilliantly in their first friendly football and netball matches against Crwys Primary School. They played with fantastic sportsmanship, determination and teamwork throughout. Most importantly, they thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were excellent ambassadors for our school.
We are incredibly proud of all the children for their enthusiasm, positive attitudes and willingness to embrace new experiences. Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Pod Pili-Pala Updates
👟🏃♀️ PE Reminder for Pili-Pala Pupils 🏃♂️👟
📢 Please can all Pili-Pala pupils wear trainers to school on Fridays for their PE sessions. 🏃♀️⚽🏃♂️
👟 Trainers help the children to take part safely, comfortably and confidently in all PE activities.
Pod Pengwin Updates
Pod Pengwin Reminders 🐧
- Children can change their home reading books as often as they would like. Simply send the book into school and they can choose a new one.
- We read individually with each child using their Oxford Reading Tree book once a week. In addition, children take part in daily reading lessons through our Read Write Inc. (RWI) programme.
- Please continue to support your child's reading at home by sharing books together regularly.
- We visit Y Goedwig every day, whatever the weather! Please ensure your child has a pair of wellies in school at all times, particularly as the autumn weather begins to change and the ground becomes wetter.
- Please make sure all clothing, coats and wellies are clearly named.
- Children should bring a water bottle to school each day.
- Please check Seesaw regularly for photographs of your child's learning.

Login details for White Rose Infinity will be sent home with your child today. Paper copies can be provided upon request. Further login details for additional educational platforms will be shared with families shortly.

Attendance Matters
Improving attendance is a key priority this year. Our Education Welfare Officer (EWO) is working with us to support families and help improve attendance. If you need support, please get in touch.
Please also ensure children arrive on time, as lateness can mean missing important learning.
Thank you for helping every child attend regularly and be ready to learn. 🌟
School Essentials Grant Now Open
As we look ahead to the new school year, many families will be thinking about the cost of school uniforms and equipment.
The School Essentials Grant is now open and may be able to help eligible families with children from Reception to Year 11 with the cost of uniforms, shoes, PE kit and other school essentials.
Even if your child receives Universal Primary Free School Meals, you will still need to check your eligibility and apply separately for the grant.
