Class photos, athletics and cricket tournaments... just a few of the things that have been happening this week in Llanrhidian Primary! Don't forget our Sport's Day is this Wednesday (26th), let's hope for sunshine! Pupils and staff have been busy preparing our opening ceremony and we are looking forward to sharing it with you!

Llanmorlais Carnival - Saturday 29th June! We will be proudly displaying our lovely artwork, singing, and playing the drums! This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the talents and hard work of our pupils. We look forward to seeing you all there and making this event a memorable experience! If your child is taking part in this exciting day, please be at the carnival for 2pm so we can e ready for showtime!
Arrangements for Sports Day Wednesday 26th June 2 to 4pm (Gates open 1:45)
- Please let us know if you are not able to attend so we can supervise your child until the end of the school day. (Bus pupils will leave school normal time if parent not attending).
- If your child is being picked up by someone else please let office staff know.
- There will be no Clwb Hwyl on this day but there will be Clwb Ceirios.
- Parents/relatives that do attend will be expected to supervise their own children to enable staff to run the races.
- Pili Pala pupils are invited back to the school for this event and supervised by parents.
- Gates will open at 1.45pm. Bring a blanket and a picnic.
- We will be selling Tea/Coffee and cold drinks for £1.
- Raffle tickets will be available @£1 each
- Families are welcome to enjoy the field space when not racing.
- Please be mindful gates will be open and pupils need to be supervised.
- Pupils should wear their sports day colours. Please email the office if you are unsure.
Open Day at Pod Pili-Pala - Monday 1st July at 3:40 pm - You are invited to our Pod Pili-Pala open day on Monday, 1st July at 3:40 pm. This event is for parents of children turning 3 considering Llanrhidian Primary School. Come explore our facilities, meet our staff, and learn about the educational experiences we offer. Confirm your attendance by contacting our office.

What's the buzz from the pupils this week? "Cwestiwn yr Wythnos!" We ask pupils a weekly question in order to feed into our school improvement. Parents and carers can have a say by clicking here. "Tell me about what you have learnt this week."
Pod Pengwin: "This week we have been playing with trains and the caffi and in the home corner. We have also been writing new words like cat and hat. Also we did running and bouncing balls to play basketball."
Pod Pysgodyn: "So we have worked on how to write instructions to tell people how to make pea soup. I tried the soup, I don't really like it. We also did Choice and Challenge about Big Meadow Farm."
Pod PryCop: "We learnt how to use different types of data like doing tally charts for voting and the difference between bar and line graphs. It depends on the data you collect. We also applied our persuasion skills in a leaflet about The Alps."
Mr G's Internet Safety Tip of the Week- Help your child understand misinformation. Spreading false information can cause harm in various ways. That's why it's important to educate children about this issue early on. Ensuring that children have access to reliable information can give them a well-rounded understanding of the world.
