School Blog Friday 12th November

Dear Parents and Carers,

As you are aware our Covid cases have risen this week.  Our core purpose is to keep open for our pupils (your children) so please help us by self isolating if there is a case in your household. Welsh guidance states that this does not apply to under 5s, however we will support every family who self isolates as a whole. Please understand that if our adults become unwell, and we cannot staff the pods,  we will need to return to home learning.  So please help us to keep learning going through this difficult time.   Here are the headlines this week:-

1. Virtual Christmas Concert Consent - Our fabulous staff are already planning the virtual Christmas shows that will be released onto our school website at the end of term.  All pupils will be involved in rehearsing and teachers use this opportunity to develop skills across the expressive arts area of learning.  Please complete the following online form by next Friday (19th November) so we can film your child.  Without this completed form we will not include your child in the final version. PLEASE COMPLETE THIS FORM.

2. School Photos - Due to ongoing building works at the school we have needed to delay the school photo day.  This will now be on Friday 26th November.  You can dress your child in what ever you feel appropriate for the photos on this day.

3. Christmas Raffle - Please help us to raise funds for our children.  You can do this my supporting our Christmas Raffle.  We are creating "Pod Hampers" (as many as we can)  so please send in any wine, chocolates, Christmas items etc as you can. Also if you are in the position to donate a larger "stand alone" prize we would be very grateful.  As always, if you know any local businesses who can help, please ask them for us too.

We will be sending home the tickets today. Please sell as many as you can.  We have already booked and planned a special launch day for our pupils in January, and this does cost the school.  The money we raise helps us to provide our pupils with the best experiences and resources that really does impact on their learning.  Thank you for your support.

4. Children in Need and Anti-Bullying week - 19th November 2021 - This year for Children in Need and Anti-Bullying week we would like to encourage children to wear spotty clothing and odd socks on Friday 19th November.  We would kindly like to ask for a small donation in which we will split equally between both charities.   Children will be participating in some Fun Friday activities on this day to also mark the occasion.

Have a lovely weekend

Mrs Caswell
