Annwyl Parents and Carers,
As we zoom towards half term, we want to extend a big thank you for your incredible support in our fundraising efforts! Your contributions are like magic, helping us provide exciting new resources and keeping our school buzzing with energy. The kitchen will be fitted over half term and we can't wait to get going with some exciting plans! If you haven’t hopped on the fundraising train yet, simply click ‘easyfundraising’ to join our cause! It’s completely free and takes just a few extra seconds when you shop online.
Also, by signing up for the Llanrhidian Abertawe Lotto, you could also snag some fabulous prizes while supporting our school. The key to our success lies in enlisting as many supporters as possible, so please share the link far and wide! We’re on a quest to reach our target of 200 supporters and would love your help!
After half term, we have some exciting events on the horizon. Look out for reminders about our Eisteddfod on March 3rd; we have some brilliant new competitions which the children (and staff) are very excited about! A massive thank you to one of our parents for generously donating prizes for the next few years. Diolch!
World Book Day is just around the corner on March 6th. Pupils are invited to come dressed as their favourite literary character! Whether it's a classic hero, a beloved villain, or a quirky sidekick, let your imagination run wild! But that’s not all! Join us for a Special Story Caffi Cynefin where we’ll be diving into our favourite stories together! All this information can be found on our community events page.

Mr G's Online Safety Tip: Group Chats: What Parents and Carers Need to Know. Group chats are a popular way for young people to stay connected through messaging apps, social media, and online games. These chats, involving three or more people, allow users to share messages, images, and videos instantly. They can be a great way for friends, classmates, or club members to communicate and coordinate activities.
However, while group chats can be positive, they also come with risks. Some young people may feel excluded or left out, while others might experience bullying or pressure to participate in conversations that make them uncomfortable. Additionally, inappropriate content can sometimes be shared, creating a potential safeguarding concern.
Things for Parents and Carers to Consider:
✅ Does your child need to be in the group chat? Not all group chats are necessary—consider whether it's beneficial or causing stress.
✅ Encourage kindness and respect. Talk to your child about being mindful of others' feelings and the impact of their words.
✅ Avoid exclusion. Remind them to be inclusive and considerate, ensuring no one feels deliberately left out.

What's the buzz from the pupils this week? What do you want to be when you grow up?
Pod Pengwin: Spiderman and a Fireman because I can take my dad in the fire engine.
Pod Pysgodyn: A vet because I like animals and I like to help animals. I helped a sheep before when it was stuck!
Pod Pry Cop: Ooooh, an F1 driver. It's just fun and I like F1 because they crash a lot! You get to drive cool cars. I would have a red car for Ferrari!
