School Blog Friday 23rd October

Here are this week's headlines:-

1. Thank you - We have had a brilliant half term, despite all the challenges.  Thank you all for you kind messages of support.  I also want to say a huge thank you to the staff who have worked so hard this half term to keep our pupils safe and well.  I am very fortunate to have such a fantastic team.   Have a fabulous half term, and keep safe. Mrs C x

2. Fundraising - As you know our opportunities to raise funds have been greatly reduced.  We are continuing to provide stationery for all pupils in school,  but this comes at quite a cost to the school.  Please help us with your support when you are able.  A huge thanks to those who have donated to us this term, purchased 100 club lottery tickets or have given their time to make Freaky Friday a special day.  We really appreciate your support, and this makes a huge difference to the provision we can offer your children.

3. Parent Meetings - thank you for booking your phone call slot.  Your teachers will be calling you and keeping to time the best they can.  If you need longer than the allocated time, we will need to call back another time. The agenda for the phone call will be to discuss your child's well-being, their progress in Literacy and Numeracy and their home learning.

4. Letter from the interim director for education - This week we sent out a letter .  If you missed it, please click here. Within this letter there is a strong message that we all need to work together to keep our school safe.

"I would also like to stress how important it is that all parents and carers think twice about social gatherings inside and outside their homes during the next fortnight and beyond. Can I also remind you that if you are dropping off or collecting children from school then you need to follow social distancing and no matter how tempting please do not congregate at the school gates." Helen Morgan Rees

So far our combined efforts have paid off.  Let's hope that this can continue as we progress through the winter months.
