Annwyl Parents and Carers,
We are always looking at ways to support you in helping your child thrive at home! We’re excited to share some fantastic free parental Maths resources that you may find incredibly useful. These can be easily printed or accessed directly from your screen. Mr Dowsett will be running a parent workshop next Wednesday 12th Feb, during Clwb Hwyl, to demonstrate how these resources can be accessed and utilized effectively. In the meantime, feel free to explore these resources via your pod pages. Let’s work together to inspire and empower our children in their learning journey!
We need your help in understanding the impact of early collections on our school day. With the increasing number of requests, we find that these interruptions not only take staff away from their teaching responsibilities but also disrupt the learning experience for all pupils. When a child leaves early, the teacher must pause their lesson, which can be disruptive. We kindly ask you to consider whether early collections are absolutely necessary, and if possible, schedule routine appointments during the school holidays. Your support in minimising this disruption would be greatly appreciated.
We are well into our new topic, and the pupils are absolutely loving the learning within Fayre, Fair, Fare! I trust you've been enjoying the Instagram reels showcasing just a taster of the active learning experiences our pupils engage in. As the Spring term whizzes by, we’re eagerly anticipating more outdoor activities and getting our grounds looking stunning in preparation for summer.
Just a gentle reminder to please share the Easy Fundraising App with family and friends, especially if you're booking a holiday. It costs you nothing and raises essential funds for our school. We have exciting news regarding the new pupil kitchen, which will be fitted over the February half-term. However, it will be more costly than initially anticipated, so we will be directing all fundraising efforts into completing this project. We are thrilled about the opportunities this kitchen will provide for every pod to learn essential cooking skills. Keep an eye out – we will need some taste testers for their delicious creations!

This Week's Standing Items!
Mr G's Online Safety Tip: Encourage your child to only accept friend requests or follow requests from people they know in real life. Online celebrities and influencers have millions of friends and followers, which can make it difficult for children and young people to recognise the potential risks associated with accepting friend requests. This playlist is designed to help you understand what online relationships entail, the potential dangers they pose, and the differences between healthy and unhealthy relationships. You will also learn about the importance of consent in online interactions, and how you can support your child to use technology in a way that promotes positive relationships both online and offline. For more information please click here.
What's the buzz from the pupils this week? What has been your favourite learning so far this term and why?
Pod Pengwin: I like it when Mrs Marchant and Miss Walters reads a story because they have fun endings!!
Pod Pysgodyn: Probably our IQ because we are doing about St. David. Did you know he was born in Pembrokeshire and when he was born there was a storm?
Pod Pry Cop: I liked doing the optical illusion art because it messed with your brain! It was so fun drawing it because there was loads of vibrant colours and patterns. We learnt about vanishing points which helps make art more realistic. Mrs Archard tried to draw a car but it didn't go very well!
