Bonjour mes amis, commet ca va? Welcome to the summer term where we will be learning lots about France and French culture ready to celebrate the Paris Olympics. Can you run as fast as a cheetah? can you jump as high as a grasshopper? What do you need to stay healthy, what do athletes eat?
Cynefin: Cynefin is a Welsh word that cannot be directly translated into English but means a place of multiple belongings. To ensure our pupils develop Cynefin we will be celebrating Welsh athletes and their triumphs in sport. Do the children prefer Welsh breakfast or French breakfast? Can they tell us why?
Rip-Roaring Reads: We believe that developing a love of literature is the first step to becoming a competent reader. Here are the books we will be enjoying with our pupils: Tedi Twt yn yr Olympiad, Maisy goes to the city by Lucy Cousins, A walk in Paris by Salvatore Rabinno, The Frog Olympics by Brian Moses.

Spring Term Pod Project Overview
This terms topic is 'Make do and mend' and after finding inspiration from our January launch days the children in Pod Pengwin shared their ideas about what they wanted to learn about this term. As you know our topic for this term is 'True Colours' and after our launch day activities the children were then asked what they would like to learn about. They recorded their EPIC (Everyone Planning in Class) ideas and these ideas werethen linked to the skills that the children need to learn this term.
