Pori Drwy Stori.

Pori Drwy Stori inspires a love of books, stories and rhymes and supports children to develop speaking, listening and numeracy skills. Your child is taking part in the new Pori Drwy Stori programme for children in Nursery. Each fortnight your child will be bringing home a new rhyme to learn at home as well as in school.

We will let you know when to return the folder and slips.

Reading Eggs.

Pili-Pala have access to a wonderful interactive reading programme.

Reading Eggs gives your child access to 2500+ e-books. It can be accessed on a PC, lap top or tablet. The programme is made up of a series of appropriate  fun games and activities and is designed to build a personalised learning journey for your child at their own level. Your child will use the programme at home.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Once logged in, the first thing the children must do must do is take a placement test. Please supervise your child when they do this but resist the temptation to give any help. This is very important as the computer will assess your child and calculate the correct level for them to start on. Your child will then progress up the "map" levels as they develop new reading skills. Please let us know if you feel your child has not completed the test correctly as we can re-set the test if necessary.

All children have been given their own login in details for Reading Eggs. (Please check bags)

Autumn One Home Quest

Autumn Treasure Bag

We will be sending home your very own treasure hunt bag to collect some autumn treasures over the next few days.  Maybe you’ll fill it with some crunchy, crispy, orange leaves or smooth, shiny conkers!  It’s entirely up to you!  You may wish to draw or paint an autumn themed picture to pop in your bag too.  Bring it back to school next week and we’ll share our finds and create a class autumn display together.

Have fun hunting, we can’t wait to see what you find!
