This week our unsung heroes are the fire service! We will be thinking about fire safety in our own homes and will learn about the Great Fire of London. 

1. Fire Safety Poster

Watch the fire station interview below and have a chat to your parents about fire safety in your own home. Make a fire safety poster to help remind people how to stay safe and protect themselves from being hurt by fire. The video links below may also help you with this.

2. Fire of London Game

This game is great! It will help you learn about the Fire of London and an important man called Samuel Pepys who wrote a diary about it. Click on the picture below to find out more. Parents and carers - please work through this game with your child as there is a lot of information to discuss.

3. Write a diary.

Samuel Pepys wrote a diary about the Great Fire of London. Can you write a diary? You could write a lockdown diary for just a couple of days or even longer if you wish.

5. Handwriting with Mrs Jones

This week Mrs Jones is going to remind you how to write a d and g in a cursive style.

6. Maths

Addition and Subtraction. You can choose games from either folders. The green chilli games are a little easier to start with.

9. Reading

This week we will be sending out passwords for the new reading programme "Reading Eggs".  You might also have noticed an extra section in the Oxford Owl  called "Floppy's Phonics". Oxford Owl have also added some extra titles on their usual bookshelf.

10. Amser Cymraeg.

You can choose to read a Welsh story about Doli Glwt's birthday or watch a Welsh cartoon.
