Terms of Reference
- To review and monitor the curriculum for learning policy and any other relevant policy as appropriate and make recommendations to the full governing body for discussion and ratification;
- In collaboration with members of staff, to provide information about how the curriculum is taught, evaluated and resourced;
- To assist in the development of, monitor and review of the school self-evaluation report and to help identify areas for the school development / improvement plan;
- To assist in the development of, monitor and review of the school development / improvement plan;
- To monitor and review pupil and school performance and achievement;
- To ensure that suitable strategies are in place to address underperformance and monitor the impact of the strategies;
- To report according to statutory requirements on school performance;
- To report to the Finance Committee on the relative funding priorities necessary to deliver the curriculum;
- To oversee the arrangements for educational visits;
- To prepare the school prospectus;
- To receive reports from individual governors or staff responsible for specific areas, where appropriate
- To seek professional advice from the Local Authority
- To attend relevant training, as appropriate
