Thank you to everyone who uses our "drop off zone" I know it really helps with parking and time keeping.  Next week we have a Health & Safety Inspection from the local authority, and traffic control will be part of this.  I hope we can show them how well and safe we run it so just remember to switch off your engines; let the pupils get out of the vehicle "school side" if possible and do not attempt to move if there are any pupils walking past.

We are preparing for our Marchnad Harvest in all pods (See more information below).  We are also collecting

for our good friends at Matthew's House.  Matthew's House are in need of non-perishable food items, toiletries, and warm clothing items (hats, gloves, socks, etc). Our harvest collection is open already and children can start bringing in any of these items when they would like.  Alternatively, we will be holding a Matthew's House 'drop off' point in our Marchnard Harvest. If you pop along to our Marchnard, please bring with you a spare tin or non-perishable item to add to our donations.

Next week, we are really excited to be welcoming Martin, a teacher from Zambia! Martin will be working with the pupils in Pod Pry Cop, thinking about how to reduce single use plastic. Martin will be with us for a week and we are looking forward to showing him our wonderful school.

Our Early Bird Craft Club is unfortunately making a significant loss.   For more information click here.   It is a very cheap form of morning childcare, but we are at risk of losing it due to it not generating enough money.  We will be discussing this in governors later in the term, so if you are able to support us to keep it going, then please complete this form.

Remember to share this blog with members of your family so they can enjoy our community events too.  For example our Caffi Cynefin is still open every Thursday and our pupils need customers to develop their "World of Work" skills.

Here are the headlines for this week:

Clwb Ceirios  - Our Clwb Ceirios (Click here for more information) is going well, and we are so grateful to the staff who run this provision for working parents.   Thank you also to those parents who are supporting this venture.   We have now released the Autumn 2 booking form.  if you want to book your child in you must complete this and pay before half term.  As always without enough bookings we are unable to offer this provision.    Please click here to access the Autumn 2 Booking Form.

Pod Open Evening - Wednesday October 18th 3.15 until 5.30 (No Clwb Hwyl) We are very excited to invite you to look around the pod with your child. We will be encouraging the children to talk about their learning, show you the resources (including digital) and give you a tour of their workshops. There will be an opportunities to chat to the teachers but this will be informal within the evening. We will also be asking you to complete an online survey during your visit. We look forward to seeing you!

Community Event "Marchnad Harvest"  - Thursday 19th October @1.30 - 3.25:  We will be exposing our pupils to the world of business and work by holding a community harvest market in our marquee.  We hope to have a number of local stall holders attending, so if you know anyone interested in a free stall please share and ask them to get in touch.  Likewise if you have had a clear out and want to have a table top sale, just let us know.      In addition, each pod will be promoting and running their own stalls to sell something homegrown, homemade or free trade.  We hope you can support your pod with donations.   Each pod will send out more details soon.   The marchnad will run from 1.30 until the end of the school day.  If you do visit the market and wish to collect your child early to attend with you, we will accommodate.  Just let a staff member know and we will bring your child to you.   Caffi Cynefin will also be open for refreshments and we would be very grateful for cake donations for this day.    Please bring your own bags.  This will be a cash only event and please bring plenty of change.

Monster Ball - Wednesday 25th October (No Clwb Hwyl) @4.30 til 6:  There will be a disco in the marquee (run by Mr G); refreshments (hot  dogs and cakes); fancy dress (pupils and adults) and lots of fun! Please let us know if you can help decorate the marquee!  (Our volunteers last year were amazing!)  If you can support the event with donations of cakes or treats to sell, we would be most grateful.  Weather permitting - this will be an outside event.

Mr G's Internet Safety Tip of the Week: It's crucial for children to be aware of online privacy and safety as they start exploring the digital world through multiplayer games, educational apps, or online searches. Parents can help their kids understand what information is safe to share and what's not. With proper guidance and general rules, children can have fun and learn a lot while staying safe online. Please click here for more information.
