  Dear Parents and Carers,

   

  CURIOSITY - "A STRONG DESIRE TO KNOW OR LEARN SOMETHING" OR "AN UNUSUAL OR INTERESTING OBJECT"

   

  We are so excited to be preparing for the Autumn Term.  We cannot wait to see all our learners back and have a great launch day planned for Tuesday 5th September.  

   

  This year we are having a huge drive to further develop all our learning environments whilst developing "curiosity".  Although we have made a great start, we are asking for you to think of us if you are having a clear out.  Objects that stimulate questions (the more curious the better) will help learners' develop enquiry skills, develop imagination and open their minds to alternative ideas. 

   

  Pods will be developing "curiosity areas" to stimulate creative writing, debate, research and many more skills.   We are particularly looking for the following items:

  • Natural objects - eg fossils, crystals, interesting drift wood
  • Interesting ornaments
  • Unusual objects 
  • Old artefacts eg old phone, clock etc
  • Artificial plants
  • Real house plants
  • Shelves for walls for display

   

  If you are able to help, please send them in with your child or, alternatively, we will be open for staff on Friday 1st and Monday 4th September.   As always, thank you all for your support.  We are going to have a great year!
